Each Spring, in order to begin transitioning the 8th grade class out of the mid-high youth group and into the high school youth group, we have an 8th grade small group that meets for 7 mid-week small group sessions. All current 8th grade students are invited to meet with us every Wednesday afternoon from April 6th-May 18th. We will meet from 3:30-4:30 at the Starbucks on Commercial across from Fred Meyer. Our study for April and May will focus on the person of Jesus. Each week we will look at a different role He played throughout the New Testament including his role as a teacher, a servant, a shepherd, and a healer. Students should plan to bring their Bibles to these sessions. We will have Bibles available if your student does not own one. Please send your student with a few dollars for a drink or treat as well.
I hope your student will join us for this small group! In the past it has been a very positive experience and an opportunity for the incoming freshmen class to bond together as they get to know each other better. In the Fall, the current 8th graders will join the high school youth group which will be meeting Sundays at 5 PM starting September 18th.
