2017 Mission Trips Announced

Mission Trips Dates:

Please block out the following dates on your family calendars for 2017 mission trips (actual dates will be based on when airfare is most affordable).

July 6-9: Reedsport (Christmas in July city partnership)

Estimated cost to students: $50
Open to 8-12 grades. No previous mission trip experience required.

July 15-22: New Orleans (Presbyterian Disaster Assistance / Project Homecoming / St. Bernard Project)
Estimated cost to students: $600-700
Open to 9-12 grades. Some previous mission trip experience required (to be outlined in application packet).

All students interested in participating in summer missions need to be at youth group Sunday, October 23rd at 5:30 PM (be on time!). This is the only opportunity to get applications.

Hope your students will consider participating in missions this summer! It is sure to be a faith forming and personal growth experience!

Here's your March calendar! Lots up ahead this month! Also, it's not on the calendar, but on March 13th at 9:30 AM, the youth will be able to deliver daffodils to care centers with our Sunday school classes.

YOUTH GROUP RETURNS!

After what can only be described as an absolutely NUTS weather pattern last weekend, youth group returns this Sunday! We have youth group EVERY Sunday the next 7 weeks through February 21st!  

Upcoming stuff:
Mid high snow tubing retreat February 26-28. Keep an eye out for more information! No high school youth February 28th.

I need one more student to man the Mission Market table from 9-11 AM on Nov 15. Students will encourage church members to sign up for the Lion's Park Mission Trip in March.  I'll give a $25 mission trip credit for students efforts. MUST contact Vik if you're interested!

ACTS

We're in the book of ACTS this Fall/Spring at youth group! You're invited to stop in and enjoy the fun and fellowship we will be having while exploring this fantastic book of the Bible!

LAST YOUTH GROUP IS SUNDAY!

This Sunday is the last week of youth group for the school year! Please RSVP if your student will be here!

Mid high 11 AM - 1 PM. We're going to make lunch/cookies/cards and surprise church members!  Let me know if you're coming so you have a seat belt!  Also, if you're a parent who has passed child protection and is willing to drive, let me know, we might need extra seat belts!

High School 5:30-7. We're going on an ADVENTURE. Bring $5 and you won't regret it!

FUNDRAISER THIS SUNDAY!

All youth planning to be a part of a mission team or City Camp this summer need to be at our fundraiser Sunday morning, May 3rd from 8:30 AM-Noon. 
We will also be celebrating our new drivers at the 9:45 AM worship service!

Just a reminder I have to go to a family funeral this weekend.  There will be no youth groups on Sunday!

Remember to turn in your lock-in forms if you are in mid high for our event December 12-13!

Christmas youth group is December 21st! 11 am- 1 pm.
