Mission Trip applications have been distributed! Please remember the deadline for Reedsport and Romania is Dec. 31st.  Students who do not yet have a passport should get their applications going ASAP! We cannot book airfare without an official passport number!

LAST YOUTH GROUP IS SUNDAY!

This Sunday is the last week of youth group for the school year! Please RSVP if your student will be here!

Mid high 11 AM - 1 PM. We're going to make lunch/cookies/cards and surprise church members!  Let me know if you're coming so you have a seat belt!  Also, if you're a parent who has passed child protection and is willing to drive, let me know, we might need extra seat belts!

High School 5:30-7. We're going on an ADVENTURE. Bring $5 and you won't regret it!

Hey Parents and Youth,

Just a reminder I have to go to a family funeral this weekend.  There will be no youth groups on Sunday!

Remember to turn in your lock-in forms if you are in mid high for our event December 12-13!

Christmas youth group is December 21st! 11 am- 1 pm.

Hey Youth!

It's not too late to sign up for summer activities! We've got a handful of City Camp spots remaining for the best week of camp of your life!

It's time to sign yourself up for awesome summer events!

We've got two mission trips:

Christmas in July-Open to finished 8th-12th grades.  Reedsport, OR July 6-13.  See the best the Oregon coast has to offer and rebuild some houses in the process! Cost is $30.

San Francisco-Open to finished 9th-12th grades. California! August 2-9.  We'll be working with a number of non-profits helping to feed the working poor and homeless communities.  We'll see some cool organizations helping youth in the inner city as well.  And of course we'll take in San Fran's beautiful sites and food! Cost is $300

MISSION TRIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 31ST!



City Camp! We're back for our 5th year in Salem! There are 50 student spots available for this week that slams camp and a mission trip together for students who have completed 5th-8th grades.  You don't want to miss out on camp August 17-21.  We want to see you be BRAVE! 2 weeks off MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Just a reminder that we have no youth group the next two Sundays. BUT!

You're all invited to join us on Sunday the 22nd at 4 PM for our Christmas Pageant! There are nearly 50 kids in the pageant this year, including TWENTY dancing angels!

AND!

You're all invited to join us for CHRISTMAS EVE service at 7 PM on the 24th.  It's going to be a beautiful service, this I promise you!

YOUTH MISSION DINNER SUNDAY THE 8TH!

Our biggest night of the year is coming! It’s the night when the youth get to show the congregation what we have been up to all summer! It’s a night to say thank you for so much financial support and mission trip/city camp subsidies.  It’s a night to do what we do best—serve.  All youth who participated in City Camp or a mission trip this summer are expected to attend and serve.  ALL youth are welcome to come and help! See you at 5 PM on September 8th for the 4th Annual Youth Mission Dinner.  The theme? Mardi Gras!

Dress Nice! No Jeans!

CITY CAMP GETS TOP HONORS!

CITY CAMP recently won a national grant from Union Theological Seminary for Innovative Youth Ministry! You can read the article published on Union's website HERE

CITY CAMP 2013 (BRIGHT AND SHINING!) is well on it's way to being sold out for the 4th year in a row! Right now we've got 20 staff members (including high school and college students) and 49 students registered to attend.  We can take 95 total participants, so it's not too late to sign up! Registration forms are available on the right side of this page. Friends, family members, etc are welcome to register.  Students must be entering 5th-9th grades!

See you June 30-July 4th for an unforgettable week!

MISSION TRIP FOCUS

Hellooooo New Orleans and Christmas in July mission team members! Can you believe our 4th and 5th mission trips are going to be here in a couple months?! Get pumped!

We will be starting our series focused on the mission trips in youth group April 7th.  If you are on a team, please make it a priority to be at youth groups in April!

Second payments for New Orleans are due in the amount of $245 by March 31st.  Please drop them off at church or mail them in to the church office at 3737 Liberty Road S. Salem, OR 97302

MID HIGH EVENTS!

AWESOME UPCOMING MID HIGH EVENTS! 

1. Daffodil Delivery-NEXT SUNDAY-March 17th. The mid highs have the opportunity to deliver daffodils to care centers in Salem from 9:45-11 AM with the Sunday School classes. If your student would like to come, please email me and let me know. 

2. Street Cleaning-NEXT SUNDAY-March 17th. The mid highs will be doing a service project during youth group from 11-12:30.  We will head over to Sunnyside Road and clean the street we have adopted.  It is a great experience to be out in the community and neighborhood we are a part of.  Students will be chaperoned, working only on the sidewalk and wearing bright orange vests for safety.  If your student plans to come, please let me know.  If they have not done this service project during City Camp, there is a quick waiver a parent will need to sign when they are dropped off for youth group.  

3. CITY CAMP-Registration for CITY CAMP is still open.  Westminster has 14 spots left and we are expecting them to go quickly.  Registration is available on the youth bulletin board at church or can be downloaded from the youth website http://www.westpresyouth.blogspot.com  Cost is $75 for a week of service, fun and fellowship.  Partial scholarships are available on a need-basis.  Friends are invited to register as well!
